Invitation to the book review bloggers
Yes I know you’re out there, and I am here. So I was thinking… How about you comment below this post with your blog site, and the first TWENTY-FIVE to do so will be sent a Kindle version of my book (too costly send out a 638 page paperback really).
So how do I participate as a Blogger?
You need to be interested in reviewing an epic fantasy novel. My novel is the first in a series with Part 2 being released on 12 August 2016 (together with my first science fiction novel Subject 37).
You need to have an active blog site. My blog is connected to Twitter, and every post I do, goes there. WHEN you get offered the chance to review my book, your post WILL be re-blogged on my own blog site using the Press This feature. It means that all my Facebook, Twitter and WordPress followers will be able to visit your site to read your review. Currently I get over 8,000 impressions a day with my Twitter feed (1).
If you get selected for a review you promise to give an honest(*) review which includes a small review on Amazon.com site too. You can find web links directly to my review pages for both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk on my website www.nathaliemlromer.com and anyone else interested, is welcome to post a review there too. I have a page listed as Novel Extracts on my website, and if you follow the link that you can find on my homepage, it allows you to read a Preview of the book.
(*) So what does an honest review mean? It means you rate my book as you see it. If it is worth just one star according to you, then so be it. It means simply that each next book I create needs to improve above and beyond those already created.
I will decided on who does these reviews by 10 May 2016 if there are a lot of potential participants. Watch out for UPCOMING FREE BOOK PROMOTIONS on Amazon, so during this period you can download the book for doing a review, however only twenty-five bloggers will have their reviews back-linked to my blog. I will also list a link your blog entry on my website.
(1) Information correct as of 29 April 2016.
Beta Readers!
If you are someone interested in becoming a dedicated beta reader for me, or as I call it “the scene cleaners”, then I would like to hear from you as well. What makes you a good beta reader for me? You can email me at hello@nathaliemlromer.com if interested, marking your subject line with “SCENE CLEANER APPLICANT”. I am currently accepting up to FIVE individuals.
A few things to remember when you apply for this:
- You will be reading crucial scenes for readability. You are helping me to make the finished product the best it can be.
- You get a set of chapters to read, and you will fill in a questionnaire that I send with it. Remember that the comments in this questionnaire are sent with the manuscript to my editor, so you need to be concise, precise, and objective in your observations.
- You will need to meet deadlines. I write to a schedule, and a very tight one indeed. It means I cannot have any scene cleaners who are slow to deliver back. A turn around of between 1 and 2 months is expected.
Feel you would be suitable? I am opening my doors for beta readers, and will officially commence with this from 1 AUGUST 2016 onwards. The deadline to respond is by 30 JULY 2016. It is not something I will be paying for, but I will send each beta reader I selected a printed copy of the novel they were scene cleaning, complete with a thank you note and my autograph to make it extra special
Whilst I would like to say I would take anyone, I would prefer individuals who can provide me with the names of three authors you are currently a beta reader for, or have been for within the last two months (so March/April 2016 or more recent). This is to ensure I get credible people that I can trust and will not abuse the confidentiality of the material provided to them.
Bonus Author Interview Page!
If this book is part of a series, tell us a bit about it?
The Wolf Riders of Keldarra is most certainly a series. I will be revealing all the titles in the series once Book 3 is published as I have a special promotion planned to coincide with its release. I cannot give any details beyond that at this time.
What made you decide to write a series?
Actually the book originally started as a short story of just 1600 words long, then it grew to what could have been a single book. But to me the original synopsis of the book felt incomplete so I worked on it for about three weeks, and it ended up as the multi-part series it is now… and no, I still can’t tell you how many parts there are.
Do you read a lot, and who are your favourite authors?
I read a lot. I also use Audible a lot. Some of my favourite authors include Jean M. Auel, Christie Golden, Richard A. Knaak. To this day I, Robot by Isaac Asimov is my favourite science fiction book, and Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien my favourite fantasy book.
Do you read books as physical books or do you read them as eBooks?
I read them in both formats.
Who designed your book cover? Is that apocalyptic science fiction book your mentioned designed in the same way?
For the The Wolf Riders of Keldarra I went with something somewhat unassuming, or at least unassuming on the surface. In my book the location of where the gems from which the Stone of Truth is cut, is revealed as the story progresses – you first find out it’s somewhere in the east of Keldarra, and the second book in the series is in part set there (spoiler!), and you will find out then why the image on the book cover is significant. You will also find out more about the reason for the design later as the series progresses…
Steven Novak from Novak Illustration did the cover for the dystopian apocalyptic science fiction novel Subject 37 recently for me. I can recommend him for a job well done, and I will highly recommend him for anyone, who wants a cover designed.

How did you publish your book, and why?
I used CreateSpace to publish my book, and plan to use them again for further book releases. However in the future I will expand to other platforms as well to expand the network of where my book is available.
I will update this page with a link to a new blog entry listing a number of these publishing platforms for interested readers.
I will be adding another bonus link below here with a link to another bonus page of questions in the future.
The Stone of Truth… What it is about?
So you’ve decided to come check out the pages which give you more information about the story The Stone of Truth, part of the epic high fantasy series The Wolf Riders of Keldarra. Please note that these pages DO contain spoilers about the book, so you’re warned in advance about reading them.
NOTICE: This book has since re-released as “TAINTED TRUTH.”
(SPOILER ALERT)
What is it about?
The basic premise of the story is deceptively simple. Nineteen-year-old girl, who’s approaching her adulthood, who’s a student in this rather mysterious Order of Truth, without a care in the world, except that peace in her world is periodically shattered by attacks by the Wolf Riders.
So far so good, right?
Not quite as simple as that…
The Order of Truth, Marrida belongs to, is shrouded in mysteries, secrets, lies, and they had an indirect hand in causing the Wolf Riders to come into being. Although it was an uprising by two friends that started that faction, it is the denial from within that allowed it to happen.
In the book, there’s a passage where I describe a typical evening with various people star gazing. In this chapter you read about the consequence of the uprising.
Later generations within the Order of Truth denied that ability the right to exist, and thus have denied the existence of the prophecy that spells the end of the Wolf Riders…all except for the Wolf Riders themselves, who recite the words of the last member from the Order of Truth to live in the city they now occupy, as some perverted story.
And as some say, when you’ve read the book, the words aren’t complete…
The story you read in this book is just the beginning of what may happen to the Wolf Riders… It’s a story about them, and it’s a story about all those around them too. It is a story of discoveries that slowly get uncovered not just by Marrida and Alagur, but many others too…and some have secrets to hide that they would never want revealed to the world…
Author Interview with… Myself!
Because I’ve not yet been invited to any Author Interviews in blogs… at least not that I know of, I decided to do an interview with myself as if done by relevant blogging sites who are free to re-blog this post at their heart’s desire…
Tell us about yourself?
As you’ve guessed my name is Nathalie M.L Römer (with an umlaut in it if you need to search for my books). I was born and raised in Amsterdam until I moved to the Caribbean to live on Curaçao, and when I reached adult life I moved to Britain, before moving to Sweden in early 2015. I live there with my partner of many years in a small town called Gusselby.
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I only really started to write in 2014 in a serious way, and then full-time in mid-2015, but already I’ve got big plans for myself, such as finishing my epic fantasy series The Wolf Riders of Keldarra this year, of which the first book Book 1: The
Stone of Truth was released this year. I already have a heavy schedule of plots to sort out, which is now made easier after watching a video by Joanna Penn about Scrivener. (Thanks Joanna..)
Before I embarked on writing for a career I was a serial post writer on the World of Warcraft official forums, where often my posts would 400-500 words long, so I am quite used to writing… a lot!
So in a short paragraph I’d say: expect plenty from me.
